Bio: Charlie Kennedy - graduated from Southern Oregon State University where he was a two time All-American wrestler. Charlie is an innovative, competitive and very energetic leader and entrepreneur with a diverse array of talents and experiences. After graduation he started as a door to door life insurance salesman in South Central LA. As a top producer averaging over two policies per day for two years, he was recruited by Metropolitan Life as a sales manager and promoted to become the youngest regional manager in the firm. From there, he went on to open two additional branch offices in California where he hired, trained and mentored over 60 new agents. After Insurance he switched industries and for next 7 years became a lumber trader and successfully traded millions of dollars in commodities softwood. While trading softwood by day, over a 4 year period he also recruited and trained over 6,000+ entrepreneurs into three separate network marketing organizations. Charlie then went on to start a Business Debt Negotiations firm where he reduced & eliminated millions of dollars worth of his business clients debts. In 1998, Charlie turned the page and with no prior real estate sales experience, joined Sperry Van Ness and immediately started to hire, train, and mentor his own team of junior agents. After training and developing the most productive team of junior agents in the firm and becoming the highest paid rookie of the year in the firm s 15 year history, Kennedy was promoted to sales manager then regional manager and headed the firm s national training. Kennedy ran the number one office in the nation for the company for four years in a row before leaving management to produce and train again for himself. By the end of his second year as a producer, he had earned over 1.6 million in brokerage fees and was the #3 top producer in the nation. Charlie has successfully closed transactions in many product types including; apartments, retail shopping centers, industrial, office, hospitality, self storage and land. In January 2004, Charlie co-founded Healstone Investment Real Estate, a fully integrated commercial real estate company serving both private and institutional client. In the company s first 4 years the Healstone closed over 200+ transactions totaling over $560,000,000 in sales. Charlie has now moved on and joined KW Commerical as the Commercial Training Director and continues to serve his clients as well as train other successful commercial agents. Charlie is the national multi-family chairman for the Commercial REO Brokers Association www.creoba.com and has been featured in the Real Estate Southern California magazine s Top 40 under 40 Real Estate Professionals.
